Keringet to Hydrate Karen Masters Golf Tourney
Monday, June 24, 2019: The Coca-Cola system in Kenya has unveiled a sponsorship package worth Kshs 4.5 million for this year’s Karen Masters Golf Tourney through its premium bottled water Keringet.
As the official hydration partners for the tournament, the sponsorship will go towards ensuring that golfers and fans in this year’s four-day tourney are adequately hydrated.
“We have partnered with Karen Country Club to host golfers from the continent, and ensure their hydration is guaranteed. Through our bottled water brand Keringet, we will ensure golfers are sufficiently hydrated during the entire duration of the tournament,” said Evanson Ndungu, Coca-Cola Marketing Manager Kenya.
The Karen Masters tournament which tees off this week, will see more than 156 professional and armature golfers descend on the par 72 Karen Golf course for a four- day tournament likened to the continental Sunshine Tour of South Africa.
Of the golfers 156, Kenya will field four of its top single handicap amateurs.
This tournament offers a huge opportunity to both amateur and professional golfers, to play in a highly coveted international tourney. This year, four handicap one golfers from Kenya, will feature in the Masters. Karen Masters winners will have a lifetime opportunity to play in the Sunshine tour, a continental show piece that is also affiliated to the European tour.
Fans will be treated to some great golf talents coming from across the continent, and use this tour as a springboard to the lucrative Sunshine tour.
Besides golf, the Coke Studio artists will be on ground to give fans and golfers entertainment at the village.

This is musical asset that has continued to nurture artists across the continent, as well as, giving a platform to new and upcoming musicians. We affirm today that, we will have Naiboi and Nadia from the Coke Studio music production show performing to fans at the village,” affirmed Evanson.
Karen Masters now in its third edition is a national golf tournament that has given Pro golfers an opportunity to play at a level that gives them exposure to the international tournaments.
